Cookies Policy

Last updated

This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on the Zythorinjlox website, why we use them, and how you can manage them. We try to keep cookie use to a minimum and to be honest about anything that touches your browser.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Cookies are not viruses and cannot install software on your device.

2. The cookies we use

Our site uses a small, deliberate set of cookies and similar storage technologies:

2.1 Strictly necessary

  • Session cookie: a temporary cookie set by our hosting provider so that the website can serve pages reliably during your visit. Deleted when you close the browser.

2.2 Preference (local storage)

  • cookieAck: a small entry written to your browser's local storage that remembers whether you have accepted or dismissed our privacy notice, so we do not show it again on every page. It contains no personal information.

2.3 Third-party content

  • Google Maps embed: the embedded map on our Contacts page is loaded from Google. Google may set its own cookies; please refer to Google's own privacy and cookie notices for details.
  • Google Fonts & icon CDN: when you load our pages, the fonts and icons are fetched from public CDNs. These CDNs do not set tracking cookies, but they may log standard request data such as your IP address.

3. What we do not use

We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media tracking widgets, or analytics suites that profile individual visitors. We do not use cookies to build advertising audiences.

4. How you can manage cookies

You can decide whether to accept or decline cookies through our on-page notice or through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies stored on your device and delete them individually or in bulk.
  • Block cookies from specific websites.
  • Block all third-party cookies.
  • Block all cookies (note: parts of websites may stop working if you do this).

The exact steps differ by browser. Look for "Privacy" or "Site settings" in your browser's preferences.

5. Local storage

Local storage works similarly to cookies but is not sent with every page request. We use it only for the cookieAck preference described above. You can clear local storage from the same browser settings panel that controls cookies.

6. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookies Policy if we add or remove a cookie, or if we change how we communicate with visitors. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.

7. Questions

If you would like to know more about how we handle cookies and personal information, please read our Privacy Policy or write to help-desk@zythorinjlox.world.
