Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the rules for using the Zythorinjlox website, reserving a place on a hosted group walk and ordering items from our small gear range. By using the site or contacting us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them in full.

1. Who we are

Zythorinjlox is a community-style group walk organiser based at 53 Hereford St, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand. References to "we", "our" and "us" in these Terms refer to Zythorinjlox.

2. Use of the website

You may browse, read and link to our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or to any account that is not yours.
• Run automated tools that place a heavy load on our servers.
• Republish substantial parts of our content without our written permission.

3. Reservations for group walks

Reserving a place on a walk is free unless explicitly stated otherwise on the walk listing. A reservation is confirmed only after we reply to your message. We may decline a reservation if a route is fully booked, if a host is unavailable, or if the requested arrangement falls outside our usual format.

Group walks involve outdoor activity. By reserving, you confirm that:

• You are willing to walk at the pace described for the route.
• You will follow your host's reasonable instructions during the walk.
• You will let your host know in advance about anything that may affect your participation.

4. Cancellations and weather

You can cancel a reservation at any time by replying to our confirmation email. We may cancel or move a walk if the weather, ground conditions or unexpected circumstances make the route unsafe. In that case we will offer the next available date or, where applicable, a refund for any paid items linked to the cancelled walk.

5. Orders for gear items

Prices for our small gear range are shown in New Zealand Dollars and include GST. Delivery costs are calculated when we confirm your order. An order is formed only when we send you a written confirmation. We may refuse an order if the item is no longer in stock or if there is an obvious pricing error.

6. Returns

Our return arrangements are described separately in our Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, page layouts and our brand name, is owned by Zythorinjlox or used with permission. You may quote short passages with a clear credit and link, but you must not copy, redistribute or adapt our material at scale without written consent.

8. Third-party links and embeds

Our pages may include links to or embeds from third-party services (such as a Google Maps embed on the Contacts page). We provide these for convenience and have no control over those services or their privacy practices.

9. Limitation of liability

We do our best to keep the website accurate and the walks well organised, but to the extent permitted by New Zealand law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our walks, our gear range or applicable law. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after we publish updated Terms means you accept the updated version.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes that cannot be resolved in friendly conversation will be dealt with by the courts of New Zealand.
